Planning as a Small Business

For the last 15 weeks, I have been following the Slimming World healthy approach to eating.  At times it has been extremely hard as I associate nice times with food.  I’ve given up wine as well (and I did love my glass of bubbly) but the positive impact it has had on my health has been fantastic. (and before you say it I didn’t drink that much!)

Now, why am I telling you this?

Because I have had to approach it as if it was my business.

I’ve planned ahead, making sure I had the right food in.  I identified the strategies I needed to implement to make it a success and I’ve sussed out risks to make sure I don’t get pulled off on the wrong road.

To keep me going I’ve identified rewards and recognition that would fit in with this way of life.  And I have to say the Viennetta on sticks are yummy!  Recognition has been via stickers and certificates, and sad though it may be that has brought a warm glow.

The journey continues, as does a business.  At least I know my tactics are working – 28 lbs down!
